How to reach the hotel from the Schuman metro station?

On foot (approximately 5 minutes)

When leaving the metro station you will see the Schuman roundabout. There you have to take Rue Froissart until Place Jourdan. On your right-hand side you will see Sofitel Brussels Europe.

How to reach the hotel by taxi?

When leaving the airport or the train station through the main entrance, you will always be able to find a taxi who will take you to the Sofitel Brussels Europe in approximately 20 minutes and the price may vary between € 30 and € 50, depending on traffic.

How to reach the hotel from the Brussels International Airport?

By train & by metro (approximately 35 minutes)

At the airport (floor -1), you take the “Brussels Airport Express” to Brussels Central station (2nd stop).

When arriving at the central train station you need to go to the metro station where you have to take one of the following subways:
Line 1 (direction Stockel), until station Schuman (4th stop) or Line 5 (direction Hermann-Debroux), until station Schuman (4th stop)

Prices are:
Train ticket 1 journey : € 8,00
Metro ticket 1 journey (presales) : € 2.10 - €2.50 (purchased inside vehicle)

By bus (approximately 30 minutes)

The “Airport Line” is an express connection between Brussels National Airport and the European district.

From Monday to Friday until 8.00pm: Airport Line 12 – Express

During the week after 8.00pm, on Saturday, Sunday and holidays: Airport Line 21

How to reach the hotel from the Brussels South Charleroi Airport?

By bus & metro (approximately 1 hour and a half)
The “Brussels City Shuttle” is a connection service between Charleroi Airport and the centre of Brussels. It stops at Bruxelles-Midi station.

The bus times are scheduled to fit in with the flight times. There is a bus every 30 minutes. You can buy your ticket online in advance or directly at the airport.

Prices are:
Bus ticket 1 journey (presales) : from € 5 to € 14
Bus ticket 1 journey (purchased at the ticket desk) : € 17,00

From Bruxuelles-Midi, you take the metro, line 2 or 6 (direction Elizabeth) and change at Arts-Loi with line 5 (direction Hermann-Debroux), then you get off at Schuman.

By train and bus

From Brussels South Charleroi Airport, you can buy a ticket to Schuman station from one of the two ticket machines available. This ticket includes the TEC bus journey - from the airport to Charleroi-South station - and the train journey - from that station to Schuman station. Both ticket machines are outside the terminal near Door 2. You can pay using cash or credit/debit card.

Prices:

  • TEC bus ticket price is € 5

  • The price for the entire journey is € 10

How to reach the hotel from the Brussels Central Train Station?

By metro (approximately 10 minutes)

At the train station, direct yourself to the metro station where you take one of the following subways:
Line 1 (direction Stockel), until station Schuman (4th stop) or Line 5 (direction Hermann-Debroux), until station Schuman (4th stop)

  • Metro ticket 1 journey (presales) : € 2.10

  • Metro ticket 1 journey (purchased inside vehicle): €2.50   

How to reach the hotel from the Brussels Midi Train Station? (Eurostar/Thalys/TGV)

By metro (approximately 15 minutes)

At the train station, you can take the following subways:
Line 2 or 6 (direction Simonis Elisabeth), until station Arts-Loi/Kunst-Wet (6th stop)

At station Arts-Loi/Kunst-Wet, change to:
Line 1 (direction Stockel), until station Brussels Schuman (2nd stop)
or Line 5 (direction Hermann-Debroux), until station Brussels Schuman (2nd stop)
